Job/Person Summary
We are seeking an energetic and conscientious Deputy Supervisor to report to and support our Pre-school Supervisor.
This role requires excellent communication skills and experience of building and sustaining effective working relationships. As well as being an inspiring Early Years teacher, having undertaken some level of leadership responsibility within an Early Years setting is essential. The successful candidate will appreciate the distinctiveness of a small Early Years setting; bringing passion and an ability to uphold our caring, child-centred ethos.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
 Deputising for the Pre-school Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the Pre-school, in her/his absence.
 As Deputy Safeguarding Officer, ensuring all safeguarding requirements are met and to a high standard.
 Leading on the Pre-school’s Special Educational Needs provision (to be confirmed at interview stage).
 Promoting, planning and coordinating stimulating and inspiring activities for all children across the Pre-school.
 Empowering the team to deliver rich learning opportunities for all through unique and exciting environments.
 Monitoring the effectiveness of the pre-school curriculum and each child’s learning journey.
 Supporting and leading (as required) the recruitment and induction process, ongoing performance management, and continued professional development programmes for all teaching staff.
